Maybe a little bit of Eddy Merckx Molteni magic will rub off..but probably not.
And as much as everyone was hoping to get in a ride with the new stuff on many of us have learned that when one lives in the Midwest many a time Mother Nature will have different plans for you.
In an effort to fight off insanity I busted out the cyclo-cross bike and new kit anyway. Upon retuning home ran onto a guy with his cross-country skis (really in March, what the fuck..Al Gore was right) and remarked to him bet you certainly didn't plan on having those out again this season. To which he laughed and said with a grin, in the way only someone in this town could.. nope!
